In her memoir Taraji P. Henson talks about her childhood, her education, and her struggles between balancing her family and career.
I really enjoyed this memoir. I absolutely love learning about actors and what inspired them to go into cut throat profession.
The author didn't shy away from some of the darker moments in her past. She talked about her relationship with family members including her son.
She also talked about her struggles finding roles and avoiding stereotypes.
I highly recommend listening to the audiobook. The author narrates her own story, so it definitely added to the reading experience.
I gave this book a B+.
I devour worlds with each new book. I am making up for lost time as a late bloomer of the reading world.
