Abdullah lived a very humble life as a carpet merchant until one day he buys a magic carpet. Since that first night the carpet takes him on a wild ride filled with beautiful princesses and mischievous genies.
This is the second book in the Howl's Moving Castle companion series. We follow a whole new group of characters and magic system.
I really loved how Jones expanded this world. We are introduced to a completely different culture that has their very own customs very different from the first book. This book reminded me of so much of Aladdin and Thousand and One Nights.
It is filled with interesting characters and had many fun twist and turns. I was really happy to see my favorite character's from the first book make appearances in this book.
While I really enjoyed this story, I did have a hard time getting sucked into the story. I wasn't able to connect with the characters as quickly as I did with the first book.
I give this book a C.
I devour worlds with each new book. I am making up for lost time as a late bloomer of the reading world.
