Leia is trying to prove that she is worthy of being a princess to Alderaan.
I had a bit of a mixed reaction to this book. While I love Leia and I found the politics of this book intriguing, I was not sold on the romantic subplot of this book.
Leia grew up knowing that she will lead her people one day. She takes so much time to learn about the history of the planet and navigate the politics that will lead to a brighter future for her people. She is very studious and proper.
I like that the book shows Leia forming friendships and allies. The book really depicting how much of a strategist she is as well as showcasing her fearlessness.
But when a love interest was introduced it felt so odd and disjointed.
I give this book a C.
I devour worlds with each new book. I am making up for lost time as a late bloomer of the reading world.
