This is a grown up version of a Scooby Doo episode, but with a catch . . . the monsters might be real.
I absolutely loved this book!
I thought this was such a fun and clever book. This definitely reminded me of all the Scooby Doo and mystery cartoon shows I used to watch as a kid.
The characters at the heart of the book embody specific types such as the tomboy, the nerd, the scaredy cat, and loveable companion. It was great to see how these characters developed over time and how they leaned in or away from that stereotype.
It was definitely the characters that had me intrigued by this book. The mystery was engaging, it had me wondering who was the mastermind. I also liked that up until the very end of the book the author was toying between supernatural and mental illness.
I thought this book was so well done and I gave this book an B.
I devour worlds with each new book. I am making up for lost time as a late bloomer of the reading world.
