Miles' spider senses have been acting up. He doesn't know if it is the stress from school or if he is loosing his abilities. Miles is struggling trying to live up to his family's expectations and the realities of being a scholarship kid.
I wasn't expecting to love this book as much I did.
I absolutely fell in love with Miles and his wonderful family. They are quickly becoming one of my favorite bookish families. Miles' dad is absolutely hysterical. It is a family that sasses one another while being so loving and supportive.
I absolutely adored Miles and could relate to him so much. I often felt like an outsider being one of the few tan people in predominantly white classrooms. There were so many moments that talked about race and racism.
I wasn't expecting the author to discuss racism this much. He was able to talk about a lot of tough stuff that many people are facing. This book was filled with so much diversity that I actually believe it was taking place in New York.
I was in just in awe of this book.
I gave this book an A. I really hope we get more books.
I devour worlds with each new book. I am making up for lost time as a late bloomer of the reading world.
