Richard Mayhew was just trying to be a good samaritan and help a girl. He didn't think that would lead him on a whirlwind adventure in the underground city of London.
I love Neil Gaiman's writing. It is so fantastic and eerie.
He built such an elaborate underground city within hidden parts of London. There were all sorts of creatures and hidden dangerous. It was very atmospheric and perfect for a spooky read.
There were a lot of complex characters. Besides Richard no one was quite what they seemed. While there is a core group of characters each one has their own agenda.
I liked unraveling the mystery of who can be trusted and who is the villain.
This was very entertaining but I did feel that the story lagged in certain places.
I gave this book a B.
I devour worlds with each new book. I am making up for lost time as a late bloomer of the reading world.
