The Breakfast Club. A brian, a princess, a jock, a criminal and a basket case all go into detention only four leave.
I absolutely love this book.
The murder takes places within the first chapter and it is horrific. It completely set the tone for the rest of the book. It didn't shy away from tough subjects such as abusive relationship, drug dealer, neglectful parents.
It felt like a well rounded high school with diverse character we had latinx and gay characters, different levels of wealth and different family dynamics.
The four core characters had POVs and we got to see how much character growth they went through as the story progressed. THERE WAS SO MUCH CHARACTER GROWTH, especially with the Princess.
I just loved this book so much. It has a great group of characters, an intense mystery and a good reveal.
I gave it an A+
I was completely satisfied with this book.
I devour worlds with each new book. I am making up for lost time as a late bloomer of the reading world.
