This is the conclusion to the Replica duology. Gemma and Lyra are trying to make sense of all everything they found out about the Haven Institute and how this effects their lives moving forward.
Oh man, I was so disappointed in this.
I originally gave this book a C but the more I think about it the more upset I get it. I am going to lower this to a D.
I absolutely loved Replica, I liked both girls point of views and I loved finding out about the clones. But for some reason this book fell so flat to me. I found myself more drawn to Lyra's story so I would get annoyed when my audiobook would alternate to Gemma's story.
There was just such an imbalance with this story. While Lyra was trying to find answers so she can get better, Gemma was kidnapped and thrown back into this shady organization. In theory I would have found both stories compelling but it just left me blah instead.
By the end of the book I thought it was pretty good but I was so happy it was over.
I devour worlds with each new book. I am making up for lost time as a late bloomer of the reading world.
