Well that was disappointing.
This book was sold to me as a horror book, but I didn't find this book to be scary. It wasn't eerie or spooky, it was a book equivalent of bad horror movie filled with jump scares. I wasn't not a fan.
The characters were ok. I couldn't connect to our main character Micheline. I didn't find her engaging or memorable. Her team includes three other guys, but I can't remember any of their names.
I just found the action to be too few and far in between. Most of the book is someone explaining demons, weapons, or family lineage.
I found it to be very dull so I gave this book a D.
I devour worlds with each new book. I am making up for lost time as a late bloomer of the reading world.
