The sequel to the Wishing Spell. The twins are back home adjusting to their life without magic and colorful characters. Things in the fairy tale world were starting to calm down as well, but nothing stays peaceful forever. The evil Enchantress that once cursed Sleeping Beauty has made her way back to the kingdoms.
I was a little perplexed by this book. As much as I loved the characters and the witty banter going back and forth between Conner and Mother Goose there was just something off about this book.
I am not sure the turn around pace was for the sequel but the writing seemed very different from the first book. The writing seemed a lot simpler and there was a lot more telling rather than showing. There were so many new characters that were introduced solely for the purpose of explaining something to Alex and Conner.
It was a still adventure but it definitely felt off.
I give this book a C.
I devour worlds with each new book. I am making up for lost time as a late bloomer of the reading world.
