This was a wonderful celebrity memoir. Tiffany Haddish didn’t hold back when she recounted stories from her childhood, her difficult relationship with her mother and her rise to fame.
This book had me laughing and crying in equal parts. Haddish is absolutely hilarious and I am happy to follow her career.
What really struck me about this book was that no matter how difficult the situation, Haddish always carried a sense of hope for a better future. She also had a deep understanding for her mother, someone who was drastically changed by a horrible car accident.
These types of celebrity memoirs are my favorite. Haddish brought down the walls and showed us a fraction of her life. I highly recommend the audiobook because the actress does her own narration.
I gave this book a A.
I devour worlds with each new book. I am making up for lost time as a late bloomer of the reading world.
