Mark Watney gets left behind on a trip to Mars. He has no way of contacting his crew or NASA. He has to find a way to survive on this planet and to broadcast a signal to let others know he is alive.
This book was funny just like everyone told me it would.
It was also very sciency like everyone told me.
I thought this was an entertaining read. I can see why so many people enjoyed it and why they made the movie. But this story didn’t really do anything for me.
I think I just missed the train with this book. It was entertaining but because I heard so much about this book and/or movie there wasn’t ever a moment when I felt I was on the edge of my seat. I felt like I was revisiting something rather than experiencing it for the first time, like I was trying to relive an old memory.
I gave this book a C.
I devour worlds with each new book. I am making up for lost time as a late bloomer of the reading world.
