Natasha is on the verge of being deported and Daniel is about to go to his Yale interview. They are both are unsure about the future but they know they feel an instant connection to one another.
After almost a year of owning this book and watching so many youtubers praise it, I finally read it.
And it was meh
I love that we had a Jamaican female protagonist with a Korean male love interest. I love how even though they spent a day together they faced a lot of problems that interracial couples face.
They talked family not reacting well, they faced criticism from siblings, and the odd looks on the street.
This was pitched as 24 hour love story so I didn't mind the instant connection that the characters felt. There was just nothing in this book that really blew me away.
I do think this book was just to hyped up me and it didn't live up to those expectations.
I gave this book a C.
I devour worlds with each new book. I am making up for lost time as a late bloomer of the reading world.
